The bicentennial shirt (200 Years of Gay Oppression), and, I believe, Faggot Revolution, were both sold by the Ann Arbor men at the second Iowa City Conference in 1976. I was wearing my own Faggot Revolution shirt at that conference when I happened to run into someone from my very own home town and I do believe that, even though he was attending the conference, it made him all uncomfortable for he hardly said a word to me when I told him how glad I was to see him at the dance!
Dugan's Deli was the Ames hangout for much of the Ames counterculture. This shirt was purchased there in 1972. I have a much later one, different design, I got when I was back in Iowa in 1990.
