Faye Eva (Roberts) Kermeen, 1906 — 1993

Faye Eva Kermeen, 84, of New London, died at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 1993, at Henry County Health Center, Mount Pleasant.

Born in Veo, Jefferson County, she was the daughter of William and Eva Hadley Roberts. On May 17, 1931, she married Harold Kermeen in Fairfield.

Mrs. Kermeen was a school teacher for 43 years, 27 of which were in New London.

She was a member of New London United Methodist Church, the Unity Circle, Chapter H of TTT, the N. U. Club and the National Teachers Association.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a sister, Letha Simmons of Fairfield, and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call Thursday evening at Elliott Chapel, New London.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kermeen will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Elliott Chapel with the Reverend Shirley Hoffman officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for New London United Methodist Church.
