Marion C. "Mac" Mosley, 64, of Pontoosuc, died Monday, March 28, 2005, at his home.
He was born July 21, 1940, near Adrian, Illinois, the son of Marion K. and Mary Esther Stewart Mosley. On October 2, 1981, he married Kathie Peterson Noah in Central City, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife, Kathie; one daughter, Kimberly Walker of Pontoosuc; one son, Ray Brett Meeks Mosley of Iowa City, Iowa; one step-son, Andy Noah of Central City; his mother, Mary Esther Mosley of Spooner, Wisconsin; one sister, Karen Mosley of Dallas City; one brother, Earl Mosley of Grantsburg, Wisconsin; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He earned his masters degree in social education and taught and coached in high schools in New London, Iowa, Shenandoah, Iowa, and Central City. He later was a substitute teacher at the Fort Madison High School and coached at the Fort Madison Junior High School. Since 2001 he worked for Pinkertons in Fort Madison. He loved living in Pontoosuc on the Mississippi River, duck hunting, fishing, deer hunting in Wisconsin and his family.
The family will meet with friends Friday, April 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. with a video tribute at 6:30 p.m. at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City.
A memorial fund has been established in his memory for the Blessing Hospice of Hancock County.
